Maria’s One Shot :)

“baby are you ready to go yet?” your boyfriend Zayn called from the hallway, as you were in your guys’ bathroom finishing your makeup. “hold on Zayn, i’ll be ready in a minute.” you were finally ready to go, and you walked out to meet him, your heels clacking against the wood flooring in your’s and Zayn’s apartment. his entire face lit up when he saw you, his jaw dropping slightly. “well nevermind, you’re definitely worth the wait” he said, moving towards you, placing his hands on your hips, pulling you close to him. “you look so beautiful” he said quietly in your ear. you giggled and said “thanks baby. you don’t look too bad yourself” you winked at him, and wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him. “you ready to go?” he asked, and you nodded your head. he opened the door for you, and you two walked down the front steps, and out to his car. 

“where are we going tonight babe?” you asked him, as he laced his fingers in with yours, keeping one hand with you, the other on the wheel. he smiled slightly, and said “you’ll see” you kept driving, until you pulled up to a large, restaurant. Zayn came around to open your car door, and placed his hand on your waist, leading you towards the restaurant. he opened the door and you both walked in, where the host was eager to lead you to your table. he lead you guys through the restaurant and out to a balcony, where a private table for two was set up overlooking the ocean. you didn’t realize you guys were so close to the beach now. you gasped “oh zayn, this is perfect” you smiled as he kissed your forehead. “glad you like it baby” he said, as you two sat down. you two ate your dinner, and talked having a really nice night.

then the host came out, with the small band that normally plays in the restaurant. Zayn smiled at them, and they started to play your guys’ song, Lucky by Jason Mraz, and he asked if you wanted to dance. you nodded, and he took your hand, and put his hands on your lower back, and spun you around. you were smiling, and once the song ended, zayn pulled you in for a kiss. “you want to get out of here?” and then he paid the check, and you walked back out to his car. “actually, let’s walk on the beach a little. if you want” he suggested, and you agreed. you were shivering slightly, so he took off his blazer and put it on you. “you need it more than me right now” he smiled, wrapping his arm around you. you two set off down the beach, the sand in between your toes. Zayn finally stopped walking and turned towards you.

“is everything okay babe?” you asked. he sighed and said “Maria, i’ve been trying to think of how to do this all night. but let me start with, I love you so much. you’re the only girl i want in life. you’re beautiful, smart and funny. i have so much fun when i’m with you and i’m so comfortable around you. and i can’t imagine being with anyone but you.” you smiled and looked at the ground “Zayn I-” but he cut you off. “hold that thought babe. what i want to say is, i want our relationship to go further.” he was now on one knee, pulling a little box out of his pocket, which contained the most beautiful diamond ring you’d ever seen. “will you marry me?” you were stunned, and couldn’t talk. “i..i…OF COURSE” you finally managed to say. he slipped the ring on your finger, and stood up to kiss you, picking you up off the ground. “you’ve officially just made me the happiest man alive” he smiled, kissing you once again. “i love you zayn” you said. “i love you more Maria”
